These transparent screens, unlike acoustic metal panels, only have the characteristic of sound insulation, they do not absorb. They are mainly made of colourless or coloured polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) that fit between rigging frames that go into the load-bearing structure The panels can be colored, as well as ornamental and decorative elements for better integration into the environment. There are different color ranges of methacrylate, the most common used for these types of projects are crystal and ice blue. The purpose of noise protection depends on the material used. The most common is methacrylate, but it can vary depending on what the customer demands.: The screens are wedged between posts. The quality of the metal is considered S-275-JR or similar according to the EN 10025 standard. They are galvanised and powder-coated in accordance with the requirements of EN 1461 and EN 15773. A perimeter frame is fixed to enhance the rigidity of the structure and then PMMA or Polycarbonate is fixed to the frame. EPDM rubber gaskets remain in the frame to prevent the structure from moving. This frame is fixed on a concrete plinth arranged vertically until the necessary heights are achieved in each project, with a distance between profiles that varies according to the type of work.
